NOTICE OF INTENT FOR SINGLE SOURCE AWARD The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price award to First Nation Group LLC, the OEM authorized SDVOSB distributor of the Mizuho OSI Trios Table Base. This surgical table base is required for the Surgery Service at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33612. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of RFO 13.101(b), which permits sole source procurement when only one responsible source can provide the required supplies due to their unique or specialized nature. A Sole Source Justification has been completed and approved in accordance with applicable VA and FAR requirements. This is a Special Notice, not a solicitation. No solicitation package will be issued, and the Government does not intend to compete this requirement. The decision not to engage in competitive procurement rests solely with the Government. Any responses to this notice must provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would benefit the Government. Responsible sources are invited to submit capability statements demonstrating, by a preponderance of the evidence, that another contractor can provide a fully compatible Mizuho OSI Trios Table Base that meets all technical and integration requirements. The Government will review all submissions received; however, it is not obligated to pursue a competitive procurement based on them.
