It does not constitute a solicitation and responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Participation is voluntary and a response is not required to compete in any potential future solicitation. However, responses to this notice may influence the Government’s development of a future requirement and future acquisition strategy (e.g. set-aside, full and open competition). Respondents will not be notified of the results of this market research effort. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with responding to this Sources Sought Notice. 1. Agency and Location Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Oakdale 1507 East Whatley Road, Oakdale, LA 71463 2. Purpose FCC Oakdale seeks to identify capable contractors able to furnish and deliver air?cooled chillers, centrifugal pumps, and provide manufacturer?certified start?up services. Installation will be performed by FCC Oakdale HVAC staff. 3. Required Equipment and Salient Characteristics All equipment must be new, meet all Federal, State, and local codes, and conform to the salient characteristics below. Information is taken directly from the specification sheet. A. Chillers 1. Trane Sintesis Air?Cooled Chiller – Model RTAF115E (Brand Name or Equal) Quantity: Nine (9) Salient Characteristics: • 115 nominal tons • High?efficiency unit • Voltage: 460V / 60Hz / 3?phase • Refrigerant: R?513A • UL listed • ASME pressure vessel code compliant • Meets ASHRAE 90.1 (all versions up to 2016) 2. Trane CGAM Air?Cooled Scroll Chiller (Brand Name or Equal) Quantity: Two (2) Salient Characteristics: • 80 nominal tons • High?efficiency unit • Voltage: 460V / 60Hz / 3?phase • Refrigerant: R?454B • UL listed • ASME pressure vessel code compliant • Meets ASHRAE 90.1 (all versions up to 2016) B. Centrifugal Pumps (All pumps Bell & Gossett Series 1510 or equal.) 1. Pump Set A Quantity: Ten (10) Salient Characteristics: • 8" impeller • 150 GPM • 100 ft head • 5 HP • 230–460V • 2½" discharge • 3" suction 2. Pump Set B Quantity: Nine (9) Salient Characteristics: • 8" impeller • 150 GPM • 100 ft head • 5 HP • 230–460V • 2" discharge • 2½" suction C. Chiller Start?Up Services Following in?house installation, the contractor shall provide a certified manufacturer’s representative to perform initial start?up of all chillers. 4. Delivery Requirements Contractor shall: • Verify quantities prior to shipment • Provide factory?supplied components, controls, and accessories • Deliver all equipment to FCC Oakdale • Provide manufacturer product data, installation requirements, and warranty materials • Coordinate delivery with the Government • Deliver equipment new and free of damage • Complete delivery within 270 days after contract award 5.
