Request for Information AMS Radiocarbon Analysis for Outcrop and Core Sediment Samples The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) is conducting market research to determine the availability of a qualified business that can provide services as follows. USGS, Earthquake Science Center (ESC) requires accelerator mass spectrometer (AMS) radiocarbon analyses on very small samples (including samples that are less than 1 mg in size) of organic material from outcrops and cores of sediment in accordance with the attached statement of work. This sources sought announcement is not a request for quote or proposal and the Government is not committed to award a purchase order or contract pursuant to this announcement. The information resulting from this market research is simply for planning purposes to assist the Government in determining its acquisition strategy. The Government will not pay for any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this notice. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code NAICS 541380 Testing Laboratories and Services, associated size standard of $19 million, and product service code (PSC) B530 Special Studies/Analysis - Seismological apply to this announcement. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement and relevant literature detailing the ability of fully meeting the requirement as described in the attached statement of work. All responses shall be limited to 10 pages. Responses to this announcement shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to Contracting Officer Joahnne Ongjoco at Joahnne_Ongjoco@ios.doi.gov and must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than August 21, 2026 at 0900 hours Eastern Time. Responses submitted by hardcopy or any other means shall not be accepted or considered.
