Every reason behind the verdict rather than the headline one — which of your certifications match, how much runway is left, whether the work is your size, and what we would need to know to sharpen it.

Draft the paperwork

Written against this notice and what you have told us about your company. Anything we do not know is marked [NEEDS INPUT] in the draft rather than guessed at — read it before you send it.

Statement of work, as posted

The National Park Service, Contracting Operations East, intends to award a Firm Fixed price contract for urgent repair of storm damage to the Blue Heron Train Depot and Visitor Center at Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, Stearns, Kentucky. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, project management, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, disposal, and incidentals necessary to perform urgent repairs to roof systems due to storm damage. This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source based on urgency of need. The determination to select ACJE Corporation for the services is based on urgency of need to immediately restore the building envelope and prevent progressive water intrusion and additional damage to the roof structure, decking, interior finishes, and Government-owned museum and interpretive resources housed within the facility. The purpose of this contract is to eliminate immediate life-safety hazards while preserving the roof and property to the maximum extent practicable. The selected company possesses direct familiarity with the facility’s existing systems, building conditions, and operational requirements, which substantially reduces the risk of installation conflicts, extended downtime, and system integration issues. It is the only source that can provide the services required for this completion of this project. NAICS Code: 238160 Roofing Contractors Small business size $19M. A solicitation will not be released for this requirement. This will be a notice of intent to award on a sole source basis to AJCE Corporation. The National Park Service is presently using SAM.gov to issue synopsis for Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Justifications. All questions pertaining to the synopsis can be directed to ashley_warcewicz@ios.doi.gov.
