Every reason behind the verdict rather than the headline one — which of your certifications match, how much runway is left, whether the work is your size, and what we would need to know to sharpen it.

Draft the paperwork

Written against this notice and what you have told us about your company. Anything we do not know is marked [NEEDS INPUT] in the draft rather than guessed at — read it before you send it.

Sources Sought response

A complete draft response — capability statement, relevant past performance, business size and socioeconomic status, and answers to the agency's specific questions.

Questions to submit

Genuine ambiguities and requirements that disadvantage a smaller bidder, drafted as questions you can submit before the Q&A deadline.

INDUSTRY DAY: Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), CG Yard Location: USCG Yard, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore MD 21226 Description: This announcement constitutes a Special Notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SPECIAL NOTICE. This is a SAVE-THE-DATE special notice for an Industry Day event on 08 January 2026 at 9:00am ET. All interested parties are required to access SAM.gov for future updates. Please view the registration information, attachments, and details below. The USCG plans to conduct a multi-phased approach to market research including: 1) requesting submission of capabilities statement, 2) an in-person industry day, and 3) one-on-one engagements with industry. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) will be holding an Industry Day event to engage with industry about the USCG’s needs relating to a potential upcoming requirement(s) and obtain information from industry as the USCG continues to seek a system of work platforms to facilitate exterior hull preservation on the 154’ WPC Fast Response Cutter. The USCG will share more information about the scope of the requirements, the challenges we have identified, and the goals of the program. The venue has a capacity limitation; therefore, each vendor is limited to two participants. To participate, vendors should email Linda.B.Lassiter@uscg.mil (Contract Specialist). All responses are due no later than 26 December 2025 at 4:00pm EST. The in-person Industry Day presentation will be recorded and or transcribed and publicly posted.? This is a follow-on to the USCG’s previously published Request for Information (RFI) that preliminarily describes the USCG’s needs. The previously published RFI (70Z04026RFI62204Y00) is attached to this Special Notice for reference purposes. INDUSTRY DAY AND ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS GENERAL Industry Day The USCG will host an Industry Day on 08 January 2026, from 9:00am – 11:30am ET. A finalized agenda for the event will be sent out by 02 January 2026. In preparation for the in-person Industry Day, USCG asks interested vendors to review the information provided in the appendices and submit questions to Linda.B.Lassiter@uscg.mil (Contract Specialist), so the USCG can be prepared to share the questions received and the answers. Please be advised that all questions and answers will be shared publicly. Therefore, interested parties are encouraged not to submit proprietary information with their questions. One-on-One Sessions The one-on-one engagements with vendors will occur immediately following the in-person industry day on 08 January 2026. Vendors should express their interest in a one-on-one session when registering via email. The USCG will follow up, no later than 02 January 2026, with a scheduled time for one-on-one engagements. There will be approximately 8 time slots available for one-on-one sessions. Each appointment is limited to approximately 15 minutes. Your confirmed one-on-one time will be included as a follow-on email to your registration confirmation. The purpose of these one-on-one sessions is to gather objective feedback, foster open dialogue, and obtain information from industry as the USCG continues to seek a system of work platforms to facilitate exterior hull preservation on the 154’ WPC Fast Response Cutter. [YA1] [LL2] This will provide interested vendors with an opportunity to share potential proprietary solutions/services information for consideration and allow the Government to ask the vendor specific questions. These sessions are not a platform for vendor promotion. NOTE: Please be advised that if your company has already submitted questions regarding the requirements in response to our previous Request for Information (RFI), these questions will be addressed on SAM.gov, with select questions discussed during the Industry Day. All questions will be answered by the date the Industry Day recording is posted.
