The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to negotiate andaward a sole source contract to L3Harris Technologies, Inc., 90 Nemco Way, Ayer, MA 01432for Design Agent Engineering Services for CVN, DDG, LSD, LPD, LHD, LHA, and LCS ship classSteering Control and Navigation Control Systems and Machinery Control Systems viaRequest for Proposal N64498-20-R-4039. The anticipated off eror due date is 30 November2020. This procurement action is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. Pursuant to 10U.S.C 2304(c)(1), L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is the only responsible source capable offulfilling the Navy's requirements for the specified eff ort. The proposed award and resultingcontract is for data conversion hardware equipment and associated components andsupporting product technical manuals that meet the US Navy's requirements for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR6.302. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties, however, may identify their interest and capability by responding to therequirement. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing dateof this synopsis. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice issolely within the discretion of the Government. Sole source response shall be made inwriting by E-mail to the attention of Timothy Shuman using the contact information provided in this synopsis. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this eff ort is R425.
