Department of Defense · Department of the Army · W071 ENDIST SEATTLE
Account requiredWhy it scored this way

Every reason behind the verdict rather than the headline one — which of your certifications match, how much runway is left, whether the work is your size, and what we would need to know to sharpen it.

Draft the paperwork

Written against this notice and what you have told us about your company. Anything we do not know is marked [NEEDS INPUT] in the draft rather than guessed at — read it before you send it.

Start a free trial to draft these. Nothing is sent to an agency on your behalf, ever — you get a document to review, edit and submit yourself.

Sources Sought response

A complete draft response — capability statement, relevant past performance, business size and socioeconomic status, and answers to the agency's specific questions.

Questions to submit

Genuine ambiguities and requirements that disadvantage a smaller bidder, drafted as questions you can submit before the Q&A deadline.

Statement of work, as posted

Registration for this Virtual Industry Day can be located at: https://washingtonapex.ecenterdirect.com/events/855516 Date of Event is 8/27/2026 Time 12:00 PM - 1:30PM (PDT) Registration Deadline is 8/27/2026 12:30PM (PDT) Fee: No Fee Description: Please join representatives from the US Army Corps of Engineers, Seattle District for a virtual Industry Day for the McChord Fire Station on Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) in Washington State. View the scope of work at this link: https://sam.gov/opp/8e64f13c90d0422b8da4244c89ac3bf5/view The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division – Seattle District (NWS) is hosting a Virtual Industry Day on 27 August 2026 to provide additional information and gain feedback from industry on an upcoming requirement for a large military construction project for the construction of a Fire Station located at JBLM, Washington. This event will allow prime contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to learn about this upcoming construction project. The event aims to seek industry input regarding best practices and examples of past success on similar projects. The event will include presenting the project history, a summary of major work features, constraints and challenges, and project delivery methods. A live question and answer session with USACE personnel will immediately follow the presentation. The Government anticipates this procurement to be solicited as a small-business set-aside fixed-price type contract. In addition, the anticipated acquisition strategy is to utilize the Integrated Design and Construction (IDaC) selection process. “Integrated Design and Construction” means the construction contract type where design and construction are contracted concurrently through two efforts. Specific to this project, the design Contractor (i.e., architect-engineer) has already been identified. The proposed strategy permits an award of the construction contract early in the project’s development through a competitive process. The early construction contractor involvement enables the selected construction contractor to provide constructability and cost input to the Designer of Record as the design progresses, simultaneously performing. The Government is seeking industry feedback on the IDaC strategy (e.g., past/present experience and/or similar commercial practice)! After registering you will receive a survey with Contractor Questions. Please take a moment to respond to the questions (Early Exchange of Information Questions.docx). Your responses will be shared with ACOE staff.
