The Network Contracting Office (NCO-10) is seeking vendors to perform the following services, Research Laboratory Equipment Certification and Maintenance Services at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. This is a Sources Sought to seek capable sources and request industry feedback ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Interested parties are asked to answer questions below AND submit capability statement that clearly and convincingly identifies their ability to fulfill the requirements. Detailed capabilities must be submitted by email to Contract Specialist Kevin Cytraus at Kevin.Cytraus@VA.gov in an electronic format, no later than 1330 EST 1:30 PM EST | August 26, 2026. As part of market research, this Sources Sought is to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing the requirement.  Industry feedback to the information below is requested to ensure the VA has not created a defacto sole source requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes.  DRAFT SCOPE: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is conducting market research to identify qualified and experienced sources capable of providing technical inspection, certification, maintenance, and repair services for specialized laboratory equipment supporting the Cincinnati VA Medical Center (CVAMC) and associated facilities. These services encompass routine annual certifications, preventive maintenance activities, calibration services, component replacements, and equipment decontamination, as well as limited repair actions for a range of laboratory and scientific equipment essential to clinical and research operations. DRAFT KEY ITEMS: ANTICIPATED WITH DRAFT ESTIMATES. (40) BSC-Fume Hood annual recertifications, (8) BSC Decontaminations, (8) BSC Filter Replacements, (2) Miscellaneous Repair Parts, (10) Centrifuge Preventative Maintenance Services, (24) Pipette calibrations (1) Nikon AXR Microscope. Prospective contractors must possess the capability to perform these services in accordance with recognized industry standards and manufacturer specifications, ensure timely scheduling to prevent lapses in equipment certification, and provide responsive support for urgent or emergent service needs. Vendors should demonstrate their ability to offer competitive pricing consistent with Government expectations. However, Prices are NOT required for this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This notice is issued solely for market research and information gathering purposes. Specific quantities, performance standards, and equipment lists will be refined and detailed in any potential future solicitation. We are proposing a Base + 2 (2-year) Option Periods contract for this requirement. QUESTIONS FOR INDUSTRY: Question #1:  Response, are you interested in providing a quote for this requirement? As part of your capability statement, you may include information on what portions of the work your firm normally performs in house versus what portions are commonly subcontracted. This information is for market research purposes only and will help the Government understand industry practices and self performance capabilities. Capability Statement:  Please provide your capability statement, which adequately supports this requirement.  The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is NAICS 811210 Electronic and Precision Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business Size Standard of $34.0 Million Dollars. The Product Service Code is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies.  Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement and answer questions above.  This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of market research. No Request for Proposal (RFP), Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB) exists. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes, proposals, or bids on which the VA can issue any contract. This Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute an RFP, RFQ or IFB. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought. Responses to the notice will not be returned.
