Request for Information (RFI) Notification: This is an ongoing Sources Sought Notice. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: 1) Availability and capability of qualified sources 2) Availability of capable firms to provide the contemplated requirement listed below The information provided herein is for informational purposes only. The Government does not intend to award a contract based only on responses to this Sources Sought Notice. This ongoing notice acts as fulfillment of public synopsis & GPE posting requirements set forth in both FAR Part 5 & 13.501. Background: The mission of the USDA’s Forest Service Fire and Aviation Management Program Office, in partnership with the Incident Procurement Operations Branch (IPO), is to fulfill repetitive forecasted and unforeseen all-hazard incident needs on a National basis by awarding appropriate procurement mechanisms that support the agency’s pre-season incident and at-incident (urgent& compelling) goals. These actions, within the assistance of the industry base, protects our communities and natural resources. All-hazard incidents, which includes wildland fire and hazardous fuel reduction projects, are defined as natural or manmade events that warrant action to protect life, property, environment, and public health or safety in order to minimize disruptions of government, social, or economic activities. If your company may be interested in assisting in these projects, is a qualified small business for the NAICS code 115310 Fuels Management Services and/or Forest Fire Suppression and has performed similar projects (Wildfire Suppression, Hazardous Fuels Reduction, or other Incident Support).
