This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes a solicitation for quotes/bids. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Merced National Wildlife Refuge, requires the replacement of an existing burned 400-amp solar electrical panel, breakers, and associated electrical components serving a deep well and its solar power infrastructure. The existing equipment has experienced failure and is no longer capable of reliably supporting refuge water management operations. The project includes providing and installing a new upgraded electrical distribution panel and associated equipment to restore safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation of the solar-powered well system. Water management at the refuge depends on a network of deep wells, solar power systems, electrical distribution equipment, and utility-provided service to pump groundwater, maintain wetland units, regulate water levels, and support critical wildlife habitat. Reliable electrical infrastructure is essential to the continuous operation of these systems and the successful management of refuge resources. The construction magnitude is estimated to be between $15,000 to $25,000.00.
