The Government?requires a standard and preventative maintenance service agreement for the North Star Imaging Computed Tomography X5000 (CT Scanner) equipment.?? The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.103-1(b). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811310, "Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (Except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance” with a Small Business Standard of $12.5M. b. The Product Service Code is J036 "Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment – Special Industry Machinery". c. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. Note: FAR 52.219-14 Limitation on Subcontracting requires a small business prime on a Set-Aside to perform at least 50% of the cost of contract performance. Small business primes may now count “first tier subcontracted” work performed by similarly situated entities as if it were performed by the prime itself. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Although the Government intends to sole source this requirement, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency if received by the response deadline.
