AFP for NASA Headquarters in District of Columbia

NASA · NASA HEADQUARTERS
Account requiredWhy it scored this way

Every reason behind the verdict rather than the headline one — which of your certifications match, how much runway is left, whether the work is your size, and what we would need to know to sharpen it.

Draft the paperwork

Written against this notice and what you have told us about your company. Anything we do not know is marked [NEEDS INPUT] in the draft rather than guessed at — read it before you send it.

Start a free trial to draft these. Nothing is sent to an agency on your behalf, ever — you get a document to review, edit and submit yourself.

Compliance matrix

Every stated and implied requirement, its source section, whether it is mandatory, and where your response will address it.

Proposal outline

A submission skeleton where every required element is a heading with its source requirement quoted beneath it. You write the substance; nothing gets forgotten.

Questions to submit

Genuine ambiguities and requirements that disadvantage a smaller bidder, drafted as questions you can submit before the Q&A deadline.

Past performance write-ups

Which of your prior awards best match this requirement, and draft write-ups in the format the agency asked for.

Statement of work, as posted

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA IS SEEKING PROPOSALS FOR AVAILABLE COMMERCIAL OFFICE SPACE FOR LEASE OR FOR SALE IN THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA. This is an Announcement for Proposals (AFP) seeking proposals from Offerors (herein, “Offeror(s)”) for the acquisition of commercial office space for purchase or lease within the District of Columbia. This AFP sets forth the requirements of NASA, instructions for submitting proposals, and the criteria for NASA’s evaluation of proposals and selection of an awardee. Responses conforming to the AFP requirements will be evaluated in accordance with the Factors set forth herein to select an Offeror for award. NASA will award the Lease or Purchase to the selected Offeror, subject to the conditions herein. This action is being undertaken pursuant to NASA’s independent authority under 51 U.S.C. §20113(c)). All AFP responses must be submitted via email to hq-realestate@mail.nasa.gov no later than 5:00 pm Eastern Time on August 28, 2026; late submissions will not be accepted or reviewed. Each building should limit itself to one (1) response that includes all options available, and building tours may be scheduled after a review of the AFP response. NASA Headquarters currently occupies approximately 450,000 rentable square feet (RSF) of leased office space at 300 E Street SW, Washington, DC with a lease expiration date of August 2028. NASA is currently seeking a building with no less than 225,000 Rentable Square Feet (RSF) and 200 parking spaces for occupancy prior to its current lease expiration. This AFP is being issued to obtain offers from building owners and authorized representatives that are interested in proposing acquisition options within the District of Columbia. Updates made as of August 5, 2026: Q&A uploaded in response to inquires from potential offerors. Updated AFP Comparison Doc showing changes made to AFP Document
