Who to talk to

At the forecast stage there is no active procurement, so contact is welcome rather than restricted — this is the one window where a direct conversation is straightforwardly appropriate.

The Small Business Specialist is usually the better first call. Helping firms like yours find and compete for this work is their actual job, and they can tell you whether a set-aside is still under consideration.

Statement of work, as posted

The mission of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is to secure the nation’s borders to protect against the entry of dangerous people and goods and unlawful trade and travel, and to ensure the efficient flow of legitimate trade and travel across U.S. borders. CBP, Enterprise Services (ES), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Enterprise Cloud Services Division (ECSD) enables this mission by supporting information technology, research and development, and automation and technological/scientific strategies. CBP OIT delivers innovative, agile, and secure technologies and services that secure the border and facilitate trade and travel. OIT manages both physical (on-prem) and cloud technology infrastructure in support of Operational IT in order to enable CBP mission readiness and improve the ability of all employees, including officers and agents in the field, to be proactive and responsive to new threats. The purpose of this new requirement is to procure enterprise support services for Rocky Linux, which is an open-source operating system. Authorized provider, CIQ, provides enterprise support for the following: • Support Rocky Linux across cloud providers • 24x7 support for Rocky Linux • Migration support from CentOS to Rocky Linux • Rocky Linux docker images • Self-hosted rocky repositories • STIG and CIS controls support Rocky Linux will be used as the underlying operating system in CBP’s cloud environment. Hardened Rocky Linux with STIG and CIS controls will be used as secured platform. Acquisition Strategy: Small Business Set-Aside
