Who to talk to

At the forecast stage there is no active procurement, so contact is welcome rather than restricted — this is the one window where a direct conversation is straightforwardly appropriate.

The Small Business Specialist is usually the better first call. Helping firms like yours find and compete for this work is their actual job, and they can tell you whether a set-aside is still under consideration.

Published by the agency in its acquisition forecast, last updated March 10, 2026. Forecast entries are plans, not commitments — dates slip and requirements get cancelled, restructured or absorbed into another buy.

Statement of work, as posted

The Multi mode Radar System is the primary sensor system on the C-130J aircraft. The Multi-Mode Radar System is used in the HC-130J Model Aircraft for detecting, ranging, identifying, and classifying sea-going targets. It is also used for weather avoidance and terrain mapping. Required repair services include inspection, component repair, and final testing of components issued from the Aviation Logistics Center to the Contractor and LRU purchase options. The Multi-Mode Radar System consists of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and several Shop Replaceable Units (SRUs) which are sub-assemblies of the LRUs. The LRUs and SRUs are repairable assets. The support provided under this contract will include inspection, two tiered Major/Minor component repair, and final testing for avionics components that are turned in for repair by the air stations and issued from ALC as needed to maintain an inventory of ready-for-issue (RFI) spares.
