Who to talk to

At the forecast stage there is no active procurement, so contact is welcome rather than restricted — this is the one window where a direct conversation is straightforwardly appropriate.

The Small Business Specialist is usually the better first call. Helping firms like yours find and compete for this work is their actual job, and they can tell you whether a set-aside is still under consideration.

Published by the agency in its acquisition forecast, last updated March 10, 2026. Forecast entries are plans, not commitments — dates slip and requirements get cancelled, restructured or absorbed into another buy.

Statement of work, as posted

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Engineering Services Division (ESD), is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for a new Digital Video Recorder (DVR) system to replace the current obsolete system utilized on the MH-65E rotary-wing aircraft platforms. The existing recording capabilities on board the USCG rotary wing platforms have reached obsolescence and are no longer supportable. This procurement also supports the USCG's transition to High Definition (HD) sensors and the initial integration of this technology into its rotary-wing fleet. This initiative aims to maintain mission effectiveness by ensuring imagery can be recorded and transferred for review and data extraction. The digital video recorder shall store and support the recall of data for event recreation and legal prosecution.
