Who to talk to

At the forecast stage there is no active procurement, so contact is welcome rather than restricted — this is the one window where a direct conversation is straightforwardly appropriate.

The Small Business Specialist is usually the better first call. Helping firms like yours find and compete for this work is their actual job, and they can tell you whether a set-aside is still under consideration.

Published by the agency in its acquisition forecast, last updated March 24, 2026. Forecast entries are plans, not commitments — dates slip and requirements get cancelled, restructured or absorbed into another buy.

Statement of work, as posted

DHS seeks to acquire professional auditing services in order to remain compliant with the DHS PREA Standards. The Contractor will conduct audits of all eligible ICE immigration detention facilities, ICE holding facilities, and CBP holding facilities, for the purpose of assessing each facility’s compliance with the DHS PREA Standards. Auditors performing work under the contract must be Department of Justice (DOJ) PREA certified auditors, as listed on the National PREA Resource Center website. Once awarded, the Contractor will be administered a DHS PREA Auditor certification exam to ensure prospective auditors understand the principal differences between DOJ and DHS PREA and fully understand the requirements of the DHS PREA Standards. The SOW will have additional information about certification requirements that differ between ICE and CBP.
