This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 1240BJ26Q0021 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This project is located on the Cordova Ranger District. This contract aims to repair and mitigate future failures of the USFS Sand Trail infrastructure, trail number 229. The total trail length is 12.20 miles long; this contract will only address the first 1.70 miles of failing trail. The mitigation consists of installing bank armoring with rip rap, and placing sub grade aggregate along the trail. The sub grade aggregate (3” minus) is to be placed as backfill behind the riprap and is incidental to item 201501A. Backfill quantities will vary but the end product is to have ~2-4 ft of 3” minus behind the placed riprap. The D-1 aggregate is to be placed on the trail running surface to harden the trail for ATV use. The majority of trail 229 is 6 to 8 feet in width and will require additional clearing and minor excavation depending on type of equipment used. Construction must occur during low water times of year, diversion of smaller channels within the project location will be needed to dewater bank locations. Small diversion for bank armoring is assumed to be conducted with either a dozer or excavator that may operate in the stream channel or along the stream bank. Work must be performed when there is 5 consecutive days below 30F degrees are reached This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The small business size standard is $45,000,000.00 This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
